i have a 30gb, that was refurb from tigerdirect. no support cd was included, and the last five times i tried to dl the drivers, it kept saying it wouldnt install w/o an update from ms. any clue as to how to bypass this, and just use the damn thing for playing music?

I had the same problem when I tried to install the software for my new Zune HD. I guess if your windows doesn´t have the latest .NET updates and security updates, the software will not load. I Googled the error and microsoft has an update package specifically for Zunes. Once i downloaded that and installed, the zune marketplace software went on without a hitch and I was finally able to put stuff on my new HD. You could imagine the frustration I had cursing all these stupid proprietary software MP3 players. Is it so hard to let us drag and drop?? The software should be optional, not required. Thats what I absolutely hated about Ipods (I ended up smashing them to bits after some frustrating sync issues). Drag and Drop, Drag and Drop, lets say it all together and maybe they will listen!!
