9 Jan 2009 and my 30GB Zune is still stuck have drained battery and recharged no response. How do I get the cover off to fiddle with the battery as suggested on other sites?

You need to get some tools very cheap. All they do is slip in the gap in the side of the casing a slowly push the case apart so it does not break or bend the cover.
