Whenever i put my zune installation disk in to reinstall it after my hard drive broke, it says i need to install windows update rollup 2, and i´ve downloaded it twice already and it still gives me the same message, any help??
for those of you who´s zune broke where it connects... Now you can´t charge it or load new music, there´s still a fix. Unfortunately the connector is soldered onto the main motherboard, so your gonna have to order a whole new motherboard, but its fairly simple to replace. I had the same problem on my zune. You can order a new motherboard from ebay or this website, or PDASMART.com there´s many different sites. Go to youtube and look for video´s on how to open zune. most will be instructional videos on how to replace hard drive, but same concept instead replacing hard drive just replace the mother board.... should be good as new... and you saved yourself some money instead of paying others to do the same thing......hope that´s helpful?
have a toshiba mk8010gah hard drive to replace defective 30gb drive in my son´s zune. Someone told me the 8009 hard rive will work, but not the 8010. Are they correct & what´s the difference?
Why doesn´t the zune have a SSD storage drive instead of a platter-based hard drive?
My hard drive crashed and I had to format it and reinstall Windows. My music collection was destroyed. If I hook up my Zune will it automatically delete all my music from the device or will the software restore my collection from the Zune I´m afraid to connect my Zune until I know my music won´t go bye bye. If it will, is there any way I can restore the files to my hard drive from my Zune?
I know that you can make your Zune a hard drive on your computer..I actually did it and was able to browse the Zune on my computer(it did show as a seperate drive); now I am unable to do see it or do it again and YES I did follow the instructions out there on the net.
Does anyone know if the updates to the software by microsoft fix it where it cannot be hacked and how do I get this done again. HELP!!?
your zune is a delicate hard drive and a fragile screen. they both can´t handle shocks. Hard drives have ´head crashes´ when dropped, and the screens obviously are fragile, and comprise most of the cost of the thing anyway. Sorry, i-pod is more durable, but their OS stinks.?
Can you put your old hard drive in your new zune
?
